Formulas

Net proceedsCoins bought × sell price × (1 − fee rate)
Net profitNet proceeds − Investment
Return rateNet profit ÷ Investment × 100%

Example

Invest 1,000 USDT in BTC at 30,000 with a 0.1% fee, sell at 36,000: coins ≈ 0.0333 BTC, net proceeds ≈ 1,198.8 USDT, net profit ≈ 198.8 USDT, return ≈ +19.88%.

Notes

Fees apply on both the buy and the sell side. The more frequently you trade, the larger the drag fees create on net profit.

Results are mathematical estimates; actual fills can be affected by slippage or unfilled limit orders.

FAQ

How is crypto profit calculated?

Quantity = investment ÷ buy price; profit = quantity × sell price − investment; return = profit ÷ investment. If fees apply, deduct the fee rate on both the buy and sell sides.

Why is net profit lower after fees?

The buy fee reduces the coins you hold and the sell fee reduces the amount you receive, so both sides eat into profit.
