BTC Price Change Profit Calculator

If BTC rises 20%, what is your portfolio worth? What if it falls 30%? This tool converts any % move into a target price and dollar P&L for your Bitcoin position.

How to use

Enter the coin, current price, investment and expected change (positive for a gain, negative for a loss).

The tool shows target price, price change, final value, P&L and return rate.

Formulas

Target priceCurrent price × (1 + change %)
Final valueInvestment × (1 + change %)
P&LFinal value − Investment

Example

Invest 1,000 USDT in BTC. If BTC gains 20%, final value = 1,000 × 1.2 = 1,200 USDT, profit 200 USDT. If it falls 20%, only 800 USDT remains.

Notes

Losses and recoveries are asymmetric: after a 50% drop you need a 100% gain just to break even. Compare scenarios on the Scenario Simulator page.

FAQ

If BTC rises 20%, how much do I make?

Multiply capital by the change: 1,000 USDT × 20% = 200 USDT profit, total 1,200 USDT (before fees).

How much gain is needed to recover a loss?

Required gain = loss ÷ (1 − loss). After a 30% loss you need 30% ÷ 70% ≈ 42.86% to recover.
